The Deshka River Float is a very mild float trip. This river meanders through the Susitna Valley south into the Susitna River. This is a great relaxing float for the angler who is more concerned with fishing that paddling the boat.
The Deshka River is a very quiet trip from Amber Lake until Neil Lake, with all Class I waters. From Neil Lake to the mouth pick up point, the motorboat traffic increases but the fishing is still good.
Float Season: May 15th – October 15th
The river is floatable earlier and later that this, but this is the optimal fishing season.
