Brooks Falls at Katmai National Park

Viewing bears in their natural environment is the highlight of many visitor's trip to Alaska and there is no better place to get up close and personal with the bears than Katmai National Park.

To begin your all day adventure you will depart from lake hood and enjoy breathtaking views of the Alaska Range and its many glaciers. After landing your floatplane you will watch the bears feed on migrating salmon as they leap up Brooks Falls. Just like the bears you too will be provided with a tasty lunch, however you will not be expected to catch it in your mouth.

On your way back to Anchorage you will fly up the beautiful Cook Inlet where you will almost always see Dahl Sheep scampering up the sides of the mountains. Keep your eyes open for Beluga whales that are often spotted in the inlet. As your trip comes to an end you will have unique views of Anchorage.

This trip is one of our favorites and sure to be one of yours!
