Knik Glacier Tour
1 ½ hours $199.00 per person

The Knik Glacier lies within a quick 25 minute flight from Lake Hood and has some of the most spectacular scenery in Alaska. The glacier is one of the many remnants of the last ice age left in Alaska. It stretches 25 miles long and is up to 5 miles wide. The Glacier at times would form a rare ice damn which in turn would create a lake over 20 miles in size. This natural phenomenon known as "jokulhlaup" has not occurred since 1967 but the water build ups have left us with the standing Lake George.
A Regal Air Knik Glacier Tour is the best way to experience the Knik Glacier. On the way to the glacier your experienced Bush Pilot will help you scout for Moose and Sheep along the foothills of the Chugach Mountain Range. You will get incredible views of the glacier from overhead and then land for the once in a lifetime experience of landing on the lake at the foot of the glacier. Here you will get a rare photograph of the incredibly blue Knik Glacier ice, and if you are lucky you will here the thunderous caving of the glacier as it carves it way down the valley.
