The Koktuli River Float is a fantastic float, offering great fishing, camping and hunting opportunities.  This river is a favorite among locals for caribou and moose float hunts as well as avid fisherman.  Being far enough away from Anchorage the traffic on the river is much less that many of the floatable rivers around the state.

The Koktuli River flows through rolling tundra hills in the remote areas of southwest Alaska.  All waters along this river are class I-II making for a pretty mild float.  Lower water conditions in the first 10 miles can make for some dragging and a few sweepers and logjams in the midsection will keep you on your toes, other than that the Koktuli offers fairly mellow waters.

Float Season:  June 25th – September 30th

The river is floatable earlier and later that this, but this is the optimal fishing season.
