The Stuyahok River Float Trip begins at “Stuyahok Pond.” This little pond flows west through the gentle Class I waters of the Stuyahok River towards the Mulchatna River. This is a very similar float to the Koktuli, with fantastic fishing for salmon and a great resident trout population. The waters are very calm and small and offer numerous pullouts for great bank fishing. The float ends as the river converges with the Mulchatna River.
Float Season: June 15th – September 30th
The river is floatable earlier and later that this, but this is the optimal fishing season.
Fish: All 5 species of Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Grayling, Dolly Varden
